Napa Valley Wine Region Prints
Napa Valley Wine Region Prints
This series of prints were done for an assignment highlighting some of the greatest wine growing regions of the world. In all, they include Tuscany, Bordeaux, Mendoza, and the United State’s Napa Valley.
Since the valley’s first vineyards were established in the mid 1800’s the Napa Valley region has grown in influence to viticulture world wide. In 1976, the region got a massive boost from the Paris wine tasting of 1976, which featured a Napa Valley chardonnay and cabernet that bested several famous French labels. The story of the wine competition, was made into a movie in 2008, called Bottle Shock. The results of this tasting cemented the region's reputation as a producer of world class wines.
I thought to show the California essence of the Napa Valley we would have to add in a vintage pick-up trucksheltered under some coastal live oak trees.
