The fact that the Dunham tavern still even exists today is an amazing Cleveland story. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, it is the oldest building in Cleveland still on it's original foundation. Just imagine the city of Cleveland growing and evolving all around it though it's history.

The house was originally built in 1824 as a home for Rufus and Jane Dunham, and has since had a colorful history as a home, farmhouse, tavern, stage coach stop and ultimately a museum.

This image was created as a collaboration with volunteers of the museum to promote an upcoming exhibition of WPA era prints produced when the tavern was a vibrant meeting place for Cleveland artists of that period. Contact the museum for details.
