Brandywine Falls Prints
Brandywine Falls Prints
My little town of Hudson, Ohio sits just to the east of the Cuyahoga Valley. Carved by the Cuyahoga river that meanders along a very confused path until finally joining with Lake Erie after a trip through downtown Cleveland. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park was established in the 1970s and contains a myriad of attractions but without a doubt it's show piece is Brandywine Falls. Composed of multiple layers of sandstone and shale, the differing strata give the waterfall a bridal veil appearance as the water tumbles from layer to layer down the 65 ft. face toward huge boulders at it's base. A long boardwalk and stairs descends past sandstone outcroppings and ledges to a a viewing platform at just the right spot.
